Just ten kilometres south of Innsbruck is the holiday village of Patsch. If you are searching for where to stay in Innsbruck in summer, Patsch is an excellent option, as it’s much less crowded and more budget-friendly than Old Town, but you can easily take public transportation to Old Town for tourist activities.
Nature lovers will appreciate nearby Naturschutzgebiet Rosengarten and the stunning views of the surrounding valley. Patscherkofel Mountain looms over the town, and played a central role in the 1976 Winter Olympics. The mountain offers recreation opportunities in every season, including the Alpine Garden, which features more than 400 plants.
