White Beach – Where to stay in Boracay station 2
Boracay’s White Beach is the island centerpiece, where you’ll find a bulk of the action as it is the largest and most popular beach on Boracay. White Beach area is 4km long, so it is also broken up into 3 sections, called Station 1, Station 2 and Station 3.
The Station names go back to when there used to be boat stations welcoming tourists arriving from the mainland. Station 1 is where you’ll find the majority of luxury resorts and a few nightclubs. Station 2, being in the middle, is where most of the White Beach action can be found. You’ll find lots of mid-range lodging options, D’Mall one of the largest shopping areas and tons of bars and nightclubs.
Station 3 is quieter and home to more inexpensive lodging options such as budget hotels and hostels. While surrounded by nature, Station 3 does have a small selection of beach bars.

Diniwid Beach – Where to stay in Boracay with Family
Just north of White Beach, you’ll find a quieter alternative at Diniwid Beach. Only 10 minutes walking from Station 1 of White Beach, this is the quiet side of Boracay. Diniwid Beach has clear, shallow water flanked by high cliffs, making this a scenic spot to visit on Boracay!
This beach is much less crowded than those to the south, making it a great place for families to let their kids run on the beach and play in the calm waters. There are also two viewing platforms which visitors can climb for a drones-eye view of Diniwid Beach, and restaurants at the platforms if you want to stay a while and admire the views. Bulabog Beach – Where to stay in Boracay on a Budget
On the eastern side of Boracay, just across from Station 2 is Bulabog Beach, Boracay’s water sports capital, thanks to strong winds on this side of the island. Kite-boarding and wind-surfing are very popular here, and the beach is protected by an off-shore reef, although this is not the preferred beach for swimming due to algae.
Due to the young vibe and sporting atmosphere, Bulabog Beach has many options for budget travelers, including several hostel options. Due to the small size of Boracay, you can enjoy sports at Bulabog Beach, and still enjoy the soft, calm beaches of White Beach just 10 minutes away!

Puka Beach – Where to stay in Boracay for couples
At the northern tip of the island is Puka Shell Beach, also called Yapak Beach. The name Puka Beach derives from sand made of crushed puka shells. This off-the-beaten path beach provides a quiet alternative to the silky white sands of White Beach. The water here is deeper than other swimming beaches, making it perfect for actual swimming and snorkeling or paddle-boarding. This is a public beach, and you can rent lounge chairs from local vendors on the beach. Since this area is less commercialized, you won’t find many hotels and resorts, but there are a few sprinkled around if you want to stay in this peaceful area.

Tambisaan Beach – Where to stay in Boracay for relaxation
For the best marine life on Boracay, you want to go to Tambisaan Beach, which has several coral reefs right off shore. Tambisaan is less developed than some of the other beaches of Boracay, but there are a few local stores selling basic sundries for a day at the beach.
Many boat tours stop at the coral reefs off shore, so the water can get busy at times, but it’s also a good place to go when winds get too strong on the other side of the island. Staying near Tambisaan Beach will require a bit more research as there are fewer places to stay, but you’ll also have a more authentic experience, as many locals frequent Tambisaan Beach, meaning there is also lots of options for authentic street food at Tambisaan Beach.
