Piha Beach

Located along the western coast of Auckland is the rugged yet immaculate Piha Beach. It is one of the most well-known beaches in the country, and couples love the place for its quietness and lapping blue waves.

With an exception of a few surfers, the beach is rarely crowded, thus making it an ideal spot for some private time. Couples can enjoy swimming, surfing, long walks and watching the sunset together. The place is only a 40 minutes’ drive from Auckland and has interesting food outlets too.

Waiheke Island

Take a short drive to downtown Auckland and then use the ferry to reach one of the most romantic getaways in New Zealand, the Waiheke Island.
