Raigmore – Where to stay in Inverness with family

On the grounds of the former Raigmore Estate, the Inverness district of Raigmore is a residential area just east of the city centre.

It is now best known as the location of Raigmore Hospital, with several businesses such as hotels and restaurants to serve the staff and guests of the hospital.

Dalneigh – Where to stay in Inverness with kids

Just west of the city centre lies the area of Dalneigh, a sliver of land between the River Ness and the Caledonian Canal.

With a primary school and a large swath of parkland along the canal, this area is largely residential, although travelers will find several guest houses in lieu of hotels near Inverness.

Culduthel – Where to stay in Inverness for relaxation

South of Inverness lies the suburban area of Culduthel. This is a great place to stay if you are planning many day trips throughout the Scottish Highlands and would like a quiet place to retreat in the evening.
