The Tayelet – Where to stay in Tel Aviv for Tourists
The Tayelet is the promenade which follows the Tel Aviv beach for over five kilometers, from Jaffa in the South to the Tel Aviv port area in the north.
Some of the best hotels in Tel Aviv are found along the beach, making this one of the best Tel Aviv districts for tourists.
However, if you are looking for cheap hotels in Tel Aviv, the Tayelet tends to be a higher end hotel market than other Tel Aviv districts. As far as activities go, there is something for everyone along the Tayelet, with hotels, restaurants, shopping and nightlife.
Outdoor adventure enthusiasts will also enjoy jogging, biking, surfing and sailing. Wondering where to stay in Tel Aviv for nightlife, The Tayelet is the spot to be!

Jaffa – Where to stay in Tel Aviv near the beach
At the southern end of Tel Aviv’s Tayelet is Jaffa, an old-world counterpart to Tel Aviv’s modern vibe. Jaffa is an ancient port city, dating back over 7,000 years, making it one of the oldest ports in the world. Ancient streets wind up the hillside of this prized city which was conquered many times.
The Jaffa Port is still active, and the Famous Flea Market in Jaffa has been running for over 100 years. History buffs and art fans will love staying in Jaffa, as there are many art galleries and so much history.
If you are a fan of Greek mythology, don’t forget to gaze upon Andromeda’s Rocks which can be seen in the water from the Jaffa Port.

Tel Aviv Port – Where to stay in Tel Aviv with Family
At the northern end of the Tayelet is the Tel Aviv Port, a commercial and entertainment district.
As you search hotels in this area, you might see a crossover with the Tayelet in terms of locations, however, there is a wider variety of Tel Aviv hotel options near the port.
There’s a large concentration of authentic seafood restaurants around the port, and it’s a popular destination for Israeli families on the weekend.

White City – The coolest place to stay in Tel Aviv
If the Tel Aviv beaches aren’t your main consideration, then the White City area is potentially the coolest place to stay in Tel Aviv. It’s often referred to as the “Heart of the City” and it’s become a very trendy Tel Aviv district in recent years.
If you prefer boutique hotels over the large chains found along the Tayelet, White City has over two dozen of them.
You’ll also find plenty of restaurants and nightclubs, as well as cultural attractions. White City is one of the best neighborhoods in Tel Aviv, it is after all the heart of the city and is a Unesco world heritage site.

Florentine – Where to stay in Tel Aviv for Budget Travellers
If you are travelling on a budget in Tel Aviv, the best area to stay is Florentine, a slightly edgier area of Tel Aviv. Until the 1990’s, this Tel Aviv district was largely industrial.
As in many cities, artists began to move in and occupy the buildings. Today, it’s a great place to see street art, taste authentic food, and best of all, there are accommodation options for all budgets.
Although Florentine is less central than some other neighborhoods of Tel Aviv, it’s still very convenient to the city center for those who want to explore beyond the boundaries of the neighborhood.

Yemenite Quarter – Where to stay for cheap hotels in Tel Aviv
If you want to explore the beaches and the historic areas of Tel Aviv, then the Yemenite Quarter is a great area to stay in.
It’s also a great place to stay for those who want to save money on accommodation. Here is where you’ll find Tel Aviv’s famous Carmel Market, the largest and most diverse market in the city.
You can purchase fresh fruit and vegetables, spices, electronics, clothing, and much more! At the opposite end of the market, you’ll have access to the Tel Aviv beach area, giving you the best of both worlds in the Yemenite Quarter.

Neve Tzedek – Tel Aviv best area to stay
Between Jaffa and Tel Aviv’s Old Town is the district of Neve Tzedek. Like the Yemenite Quarter, this area offers a nice balance of two sides of Tel Aviv: modern and historic, with all attractions just minutes away. Neve Tzedek is largely residential, making it a great place to stay in Tel Aviv for an extended time.
In addition to many apartment rentals, there are also several boutique hotels in the area. For a taste of old-world Tel Aviv within walking distance of the modern city center, Neve Tzedek is the best place to stay in Tel Aviv.
