Added Extra: Areas to Avoid in Barbados

With so many wonderful areas to choose from, it’s natural to wonder where not to stay in Barbados.

It’s always disappointing to realise you’ve booked accommodation in a less-than-desirable area, as this can really put a real damper on your holiday.

Although most of the island is safe, there are a few places you might want to steer clear of.

The one place you should avoid staying or visiting while in Barbados is Crab Hill, which has the highest crime rate on the island. This area is easy to avoid, as it’s at the north coast of Saint Lucy where there aren’t any tourist attractions.

While Bridgetown is perfectly safe during the day, you should avoid Nelson Street and Wellington Street at night. Since there isn’t much of a nightlife scene here anyway, it shouldn’t be hard to stay away.

If you’d like to save it for later, please save it to Pinterest.
