Travel to Czech Republic

Czech Republic Destination

The Czech Republic, or Czechia, is a central European country bordered by Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and Poland. Affordable prices and easy connectivity throughout Europe make it a popular weekend getaway for many Europeans.

Nearly half of the annual visitors to the Czech Republic flood to the capital city of Prague, for tasty beer and medieval architecture. The country is also known for castles, and the Bohemian Paradise area is popular with hikers and skiers.

Health: There only health concerns in Czech Republic for travellers are tick-borne encephalitis within forests as well as a recent measles outbreak. I would recommend that you contact your doctor a few weeks before you travel as in some cases you need to start any medication a few days before your trip or you may need to get a vaccination.

Drinking Tap Water: The tap water is generally safe to drink in major cities such as Prague, however its suggested to drink bottled water in rural areas.
