Travel to Bermuda

Bermuda Destination

Bermuda is known for its pink sand beaches and crystal blue waters and the archipelago constitutes of approx 180 islands. Located North Atlantic Ocean, literally in the middle of no where but this is what give it, it’s charm. Bermuda is a blend of British and American culture

Currency: Bermudian dollar can be withdrawn from ATMs throughout the Bermuda, however keep in mind that smaller cities or towns may not have access to ATMs and its recommended to withdraw cash and take it with you.

Power Points: Most power points are the same as the power points in the USA and Canada (2 vertical prongs). Obviously I would recommend you take a Travel Adapter especially for non USA or Canadian residents.

Official Language: The official language of the Bermuda is English.

Health: There have been reported cased of zika, dengue fever and chikungunya virus in the Bermuda. I would recommend that you contact your doctor a few weeks before you travel as in some cases you need to start any medication a few days before your trip or you may need to get a vaccination.

Drinking Tap Water: The tap water is generally safe to drink, however, if you opting for bottled water is better to be on the safe side.

Visa: Most countries don’t require a visa for short stays, to visit Bermuda.

Popular foods:
Codfish breakfast (Codfish and potato is usually enjoyed by locals on the weekend).
Fish sandwich (served on raisin bread with coleslaw and hot sauce).
Fish chowder (Bermudas national dish).
Spiny Lobster (enjoyed during Sept-March, served with rice and veggies).

When to go: The ideal time to head to the beach is during the months of May through October, which is high season. Bermuda’s spring season quickly raises the temperature of the ocean and atmosphere, marking the start of the hot summer. Bermuda lacks a rainy season in contrast to other island vacation spots.
