A Luxury Hotel Review of the First Shangri-La – Singapore

The Shangri-La Singapore was the very first Shangri-La built over 40 years ago! Although you can’t tell as they have maintained the property very well, nothing looks old or dated. Wok TOO Café at the Shangri-La Guangzhou25

Luxury Hotel Review of an Urban Oasis Shangri-La Guangzhou

Picture this.... coming off a nice relaxed 2 hour flight, where we are greeted by a very excited man (and I mean very excited!), holding up a Shangri-La Guangzhou sign with our name on it. "HELLO!!!" He shouted from a distance as we rushed up to us, took our hand luggage and led us from the arrivals gate to the baggage collection. He was moving at such a pace that we had to almost run to keep up with him!! The luggage carousel was very slow and took a while to bring our luggage around, when we saw our luggage finally coming around over the other side, this lovely gentleman literally jumped over other people’s trolleys and luggage to quickly grab our bags and ran out again to meet the hotel car, our short time with him was such an adventure! We arrived at the hotel approx. 45mins later, we…

A Luxury Hotel Review of Shangri-La Xian

Get the best deals for the Shangri-La Xian here Arrival – We were met at the airport by a hotel rep and taken to the car, where we drove 30-45mins to the Shangri-La Xian. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by Yoyo who was a guest relations officer, Ruby the communications manager and the lovely Jean-Philippe Jacopin the hotel’s general manager. From the car we were taken directly to our room and Yoyo checked us in, after check in, Yoyo showed us around the room and explained the features and how to use the aircon. Shortly after we met Ruby at Tian Xiang Ge. Room – We were booked into the Horizon Club King room which was located on the Horizon club floor (I love the club room!). The Horizon Club King room is an approx. 38 sqm room with an en-suite bathroom (including a rainfall shower…

The Luxurious Shangri-La Beijing – Hotel Review

Get the best deals for the Shangri-La Beijing here Arrival – Our arrival to the Shangri-La Beijing hotel actually started at the airport where were collected at the gate by a lady in blue who took us through customs and bag collection and dropped us off at the hotel car, it was a wonderful service because otherwise we would have more than likely been lost in Beijing airport for days (it's huge!). Once we arrived at the hotel we were taken up to the club room where we were seated and provided with cold towels and a jasmine tea. We met the lovely Catherine who was the communications manager and were checked in by the club lounge team and shown to our room. Room –  We were located in the Valley Wing which feels much more private and exclusive than the Garden wing. The luxury Valley Wing Premier Room, is…
