Out of all the south coast tours we’ve mentioned, this is the most physically demanding (and rewarding) as you’ll spend three hours on a glacier hike, guided by a very qualified local guide.

This glacier is one of the most interesting ones in Iceland, full of dramatic ice formations, so it’s definitely worth a visit.

Before visiting the glacier, get a chance to see two of Iceland’s most famous waterfalls and a beautiful black sand beach. On your way back to Reykjavik, you’ll also get to spend time enjoying the beautiful view from Dyrholaey, a natural bridge stretching into the ocean.
