Where to stay in Pattaya – Party Central or Cool Calm and Relaxed
Pattaya is a city on Thailand’s eastern Gulf coast and is very known with tourists for its beaches. It used to be a quiet fishing village in the 60s but now it’s beaches are lined with resort hotels, high-rise condos, shopping malls, cabaret bars and 24-hour clubs. Nearby, hillside Wat Phra Yai Temple features an 18m-tall golden Buddha. The area also features several designer golf courses, some with views of Pattaya Bay. Quick note: Prices will obviously vary from high season to low season, in some cases by almost 50%! Low tourist season is from May to October and high tourist season is November to April. Personally, I think Phuket is the best in October as it is the last month of the low season and there doesn’t seem to be much rain to ruin your holiday.
