1. Cochinita Pibil
Cochinita pibil isn’t the most popular dish from Mexico but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t a great dish. In our opinion this is one of the greatest dishes out there, because it is very tasty and not that world famous as some other dishes. We are certain that this dish will surprise you. Cochinita Pibil is pulled pork prepared by slow cooking in annatto, orange juice and lime. It is served with some pickled onions on top, giving you an incredibly tasty dish.
2. Tacos (al pastor)
Tacos are served in different variants. Tacos al pastor is one of the most popular tacos. These tacos are made from grilled pork. The basis of this taco is the lamb shoarma brought to Mexico by Lebanese immigrants. As a result, taco al pastor has a taste palette consisting of traditional herbs from the Middle East combined with herbs from Mexico.
Enchiladas are originally from the Mayan period. At the time, people were eating corn tortillas with fish filling. Today, they use corn and flour tortillas for the enchiladas.
