India is an amazingly diverse country with a huge population second only to China. It stretches from the southern tip at Kerala on the Indian Ocean, to the mountainous northern border shared with Pakistan and Nepal.

Currency: Indian Rupee can be withdrawn from ATMs throughout India, however keep in mind that smaller cities or towns may not have access to ATMs and its recommended to withdraw cash and take it with you.
Power Points: Most power points in India are 2 thicker round prongs. I would recommend you take a Travel Adapter.
Official Language: The official languages of India are Urdu and Hindi.
Health: There are a number major health concerns in India for travellers such as; swine flu, malaria,dengue fever, other insect-borne diseases including zika, HIV/AIDS, and other waterborne, foodborne, parasitic and other infectious diseases . I would recommend that you contact your doctor a few weeks before you travel as in some cases you need to start any medication a few days before your trip or you may need to get a vaccination.
Drinking Tap Water: The tap water is not safe for consumption, bottled water is recommended.
Visa: Most countries require a visa to visit India, visit the Government of India’s Indian Visa Online to check your eligibility.

– Samosa (fried dough pocket filled with ingredients like potato, onion, spices, and peas).
– Curry (such as Rogan josh, Chicken korma , Butter chicken and so on).
– Tandoori Chicken (chicken marinated in ingredients such as yogurt, ginger, garlic, and herbs, and then baked in a clay oven).
– Naan (puffed bread often eaten wit curries).
When to go: India is most enjoyable to visit in the winter, from late December to early March. From April on, the entire nation typically experiences extreme heat, and most places at least see the summer monsoon in June, July, August, and September.
