Paul Immigrations Reviews – Applying for a Singapore PR!

Known for its stunning “Gardens by the Bay” and almost legendary public tidiness, Singapore is an ex-pat-friendly, modern state. It is a melting pot of cultures and traditions, braiding Chinese, Malay and European influences.

The culinary scene is exquisite and there are loads of events and cultural activities. For weekend-fun, you can go to one of the man-made, yet still stunning beaches like the hidden Punggol Beach or the more popular Siloso Beach on Sentosa Island.

The city-state is a fun destination to visit, but also a great place to live! We have gathered some tips and pieces of advice for those of you who are considering moving there. Want a smooth Immigration process to live on that sunny island? Read on!

Benefits of living in Singapore

Life as a Singaporean Permanent Resident (SPR) grants more stability. If you really want to make the economically strong nation home for yourself (and your family), applying for a Permanent Residency is highly recommended.

English is the official language

English as the official language matters not only in your everyday life. Imagine moving to a country where all the legal documents would have to go through a translator – in Singapore, that’s not a problem!

Legal entities, healthcare and public institutions all operate in English, which makes it easy for English-speaking ex-pats to navigate in their daily lives, go through legal arrangements and even solve disputes.

Urban, clean environment

The metropolitan city-state is a wealthy, well-maintained, cosmopolitan state. Living in that nation compares to living in Western European countries or the US/Australia. There are international schools, prominent healthcare and the infrastructure and public transportation (bus network and metro) work impeccably.

Financial benefits

Thinking long-term, if you decide to invest in property in Singapore, as a Permanent Resident you will get property ownership perks!

Cosmopolitan state

Moving to another country can be stressful. You might be worried about making new social connections, and if you are moving with your family, you might wonder whether your kids will integrate at their new school.

The Lion City is a melting pot of cultures and nationalities. Both ex-pats and locals are open to newcomers. Join your new colleagues for an after-work drink in one of the bars close to Chinatown – there are many hip places around. Sit back, relax and let the drinks and conversations flow!

How to immigrate to Singapore

An immigration process requires a lot of preparation and paperwork. Luckily, there are Singapore-based agents Paul Immigrations who can make the process easy and hassle-free for foreigners who wish to make Singapore their new home!

Working with an agent while moving to another country will not only make the process faster but also save you a lot of time and energy, allowing you to focus on things that really matter, like choosing which school to send your kids to, actively looking for your new home, etc..

If you choose to apply for Permanent Residency on your own, you risk meeting quite a few obstacles trying to navigate around the digital services of Immigration & Checkpoints Authority Singapore (ICA). This e-service is difficult to comprehend and document-submission on one’s own can end up very time-consuming.

Singapore Immigration Process

The process consists of 6 steps that we will briefly walk you through.

Step 1 is a telephone call with an Immigration Consultant (IC). During that phone call, the agent will gather information about you to make sure that you are eligible to apply for Permanent Residency.

Step 2 is an in-person appointment with your IC. During your first meeting, the consultant will walk you through the possible factors that might affect the approval of your Permanent Residency Application. Throughout the entire process, you are guaranteed full transparency and guidance from your IC.

Step 3 requires some document-gathering from your side! You will be asked to provide your Immigration Specialist (IS) with documents (they can be handed-in in person or scanned copies can be sent in digitally).

Your IS will closely guide you through this step of your application and they will make sure that you have delivered all the necessary files. While applying on one’s own, it is easy to miss a document, which causes the entire submission to be invalid.

Step 4 requires less of your involvement; it is when your Immigration Consultancy takes over and does its magic! Your Immigration Specialist will fill out the forms for you, and they will also draft a personalized cover letter on your behalf.

The letter will be written based on your former interviews with your Immigration Specialist as well as the formal documents handed in. The purpose of the cover letter is to prove your commitment as well as benefit to the Singaporean society.

Step 5 is submitting the documents through ICA; once again, all you have to do is to wait patiently, after being guided by your ISto submit the application successfully.

The time frame is roughly 1 – 2 months from “Step 2” to submitting the documents.

Step 6, the final outcome of your application is a true test for your patience. The process may take 4 – 6 months. You would be kept updated, depending on the outcome (whether your application is approved or rejected), and your IS will guide you through the next steps to take.

Paul Immigrations Reviews:

First of all, having an agent help you move to another country eases the process a lot and you will receive a lot of information that would be difficult to source on your own. The services are 100% transparent. As a client, you are involved in the process all the way.

Also, what we really appreciate is the “free tips” section on the website! They speak about arranging a visa for your spouse, they speak about common mistakes in the application forms, and they answer the frequently asked questions about SPR Applications.
