What the heck is an Olloclip?
A Olloclip is a small device that slides over the corner of the iPhone and places a wide-angle, fisheye or close-up macro lens over the iPhone’s camera.
The 4-in-1 Olloclip Photo Lens is the most versatile lens. It’s lightweight and small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. It’s the perfect solution to capture and share different views of the world, with a fisheye, wide-angle and two macro lenses are uniquely crafted into one compact device.
The compact design means that instead of carrying around four large lenses, you’re ust one small accessory, which will easily fit in your pocket. The Olloclip slides onto the iPhone and comes off easily with the lenses are attached securely..
I got the Olloclip 4-in-1 iPhone 5s Red version.
Wide angle lens:
The wide angle lens provides a wide angle (go figure) which opens up your photos to capture about twice as much. Howeverunfortunately the wide angle lens was a bit of a disappointment in regards to quality, the photo is heavily distorted and which is noticeable at the edges.
BUT how serious of a photographer are you planning to be when using an iPhone…
Fisheye Lens:
The fisheye lens works exactly as you would expect, it makes everything look like a fish eye – its very cool and fun and silly but not something that you take any “serious” photos with.
10X Macro Lens:
The 10X macro lens delivers a fairly consistent performance throughout the photo, it does what the name suggests.
(unable to work out how to use the 10x lens)
15X Macro Lens
One of the main downside of the extreme magnification of the 15x macro lens is the increased distortion and loss of detail towards the corners of the photo, make sure your objects/subjects are centered when you’re using the 15X macro lens to get a clear image.

Overall:
It’s a great accessory for your phone and its small enough to pop in your pocket to take anywhere this you, I did however have trouble putting the clip on, handy tip, put it on in the centre and slide it over to the camera lens. It was also a little difficult, not being able to lock my phone (iPhone 5s) as the olloclip sat over the lock button, which meant I had to slide it over to the other side of the phone to lock. iPhone 6 users don’t have this issue as the lock button is on the side of the phone now. Keep in mind you can’t use Olloclip if your iPhone has a case.
