This country in Southeast Asia is known for dense jungles, tropical beaches, river cruises and Buddhist temples. The capital city of Hanoi reflects the communist history of the area, while the southern region around Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) reflects the French influence on Vietnam.

Currency: Vietnamese dong can be withdrawn from ATMs throughout Vietnam, however keep in mind that smaller cities or towns may not have access to ATMs and its recommended to withdraw cash and take it with you.
Power Points: Vietnam uses 2 types of plug points, as that’s the case, I would recommend you take a Travel Adapter.
Official Language: The official language of Vietnam is Vietnamese.
Health: There are a number major health concerns in Vietnam for travellers. I would recommend that you contact your doctor a few weeks before you travel as in some cases you need to start any medication a few days before your trip or you may need to get a vaccination. The tap water is not generally safe to drink, only drink bottled water.
