Find Discounts Before You Arrive

if you book in advance, you will be offered a few discounts. Many attractions offer up to 10% off entry fees to those who book online.

You may also be able to make further savings if you book as a large group and use student cards if they are applicable.

Check websites for cheap tickets for the shows on Broadway as well. If you book your show tickets well in advance, you can usually find good seats at reasonable prices.

Figure Out Transport

If you save on your transport to NYC, you will find that you have a little more money to play with during your stay. Booking your flights in advance will save you a lot of money. And using a budget airline will as well.

If you are traveling from elsewhere in the United States, think about taking a Greyhound bus. They are generally cheaper than catching the train. You will also save money compared with driving.

Do All The Free Attractions

You may be happy to hear that there are plenty of free attractions in New York! For instance, it is completely free to cross the Brooklyn Bridge, one of the city’s most notable attractions. There are also a number of museums and galleries that are all completely free for visitors.

These include the Botanical Gardens and the Natural History Museum. And don’t forget about Central Park. This expansive inner-city park is free to wander around. You could even spend some time looking for the fountain made famous by Friends!

Take A Free Tour

There are also a lot of free tours that you can take. However, it is a good idea to remember that you will be expected to tip the tour guide at the end.

But still, it beats having to pay $20 and then have to tip, right? You could also buy a New York Tourist Pass that will get you quite a bit of discount off some of the city’s main paid-for tours.
