Mauritius

An island republic in the Indian Ocean, Mauritius is well-known for its beaches, lagoons, and reefs. Black River Gorges National Park, which has rainforests, waterfalls, hiking paths, and fauna like the flying fox, is located in the hilly interior. The Champs de Mars racetrack, Eureka plantation home, and Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Gardens are just a few of the attractions of Port Louis, the country’s capital.

The tap water is generally safe to drink, however, if you are unsure, make sure to ask your hotel receptionist or host or drink bottled water.
