India is an amazingly diverse country with a huge population second only to China. Currency: Indian Rupee can be withdrawn from ATMs throughout India, however keep in mind that smaller cities or towns may not have access to ATMs and its recommended to withdraw cash and take it with you.
Power Points: Most power points in India are 2 thicker round prongs. I would recommend you take a Travel Adapter.
Official Language: The official languages of India are Urdu and Hindi.
Health: There are a number major health concerns in India for travellers such as; swine flu, malaria,dengue fever, other insect-borne diseases including zika, HIV/AIDS, and other waterborne, foodborne, parasitic and other infectious diseases . I would recommend that you contact your doctor a few weeks before you travel as in some cases you need to start any medication a few days before your trip or you may need to get a vaccination. The tap water is not safe for consumption, bottled water is recommended.
