How to Pack for a Colder Vacation without Paying for Extra Baggage

If you know that you are going on vacation then you will understand what an exciting time this can be. You get to finally see things that you have never seen before and you may even find that you are busy trying to plan out all of the things that you are going to do as well. If you are having a hard time knowing what to pack then you have nothing to worry about because you can find out whatever you need to know right here.

Wear Invisible Layers

The secret to wearing the clothes that you want in the colder weather is for you to wear invisible layers. You need to make sure that you wear thermal leggings and even thermal tops as well. When choosing your thermals, you need to make sure that you are choosing ones which reflect your needs as well as choosing ones that are actually going to keep you warm. Sure, it may be tempting for you to go for the cheaper option and this is especially the case when you already have so much to pay for but this is something that you should avoid if possible.

Swap Out Things

Sweaters and jumpers may feel cosy but they will in fact take up a ton of room in your bag when compared to some of your other tops. For this reason, you need to take out your sweater and add the equivalent in tops. For example, if you have a sweater and you can fit 4 tops in place of this then make sure that you do that. This will really help you to add multiple layers when you are out on the go and it will also help you to create way more room in your bag as well.

Black

Black clothes are super easy to match and the best thing about them is that they never really look as dirty as they really are. When you are preparing for a trip, it is a good idea for you to take some pants with you. The main reason for this is because you can wear them with a silk shirt for when you go out and then you can wear them with a t-shirt if you want to go out and

wander around the town. This can save a ton of effort and it can also save you some luggage space as well so this is well worth considering.

Pack Boots

When you go on a trip, whether it is a stunning Iceland northern lights tour or even whether it is a hiking activity, you need to make sure that you pack a single pair of shoes. When you do this, you can save space in your luggage, you can really cut down on the amount of space that you are taking up in your case and you can even be more comfortable when you are out and about. The best thing about boots is that you can walk for hours in them and they also keep your feet much warmer and drier when compared to sneakers and shoes. If you do have to bring a second pair of shoes then make sure that you wear your boots when you are on the plane because it will take up way less room in your case.

Pack Lightweight Socks

Boots aren’t the only thing that you have to think about when you are going on a trip abroad. You also have to think about your socks as well. Thick socks are certainly the way to go when you go abroad because they can help you to stop your shoes from rubbing and they are also very well insulated as well. Of course, it does help to pack a few pairs because if some of your socks do get wet then the last thing that you need is to have them touching your skin for hours on end. For this reason, you need to pack way more than you need and this is especially the case if you are planning a ton of outdoor activities.

So as you can see, there are so many things that you can do to try and get a better result out of your vacation and this is especially the case when you are travelling to a colder location. By utilising the above tips you can be sure to really stay warm while you are on holiday and you can also be sure to really make the most out of your time as well.
