6 Amazing Holiday Destinations for Animal Lovers

If you are an animal lover then it makes sense that you want to spend your holiday doing something which revolves around animals. You can spend your time focusing on animal conservation, go on safari, or join a guided tour to see elusive animals in their natural habitat. Here are 6 amazing holiday destinations for animal lovers.

Thailand

You should visit the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai which is an elephant sanctuary that cares for formerly abused and orphaned elephants. The main intention of this sanctuary is to educate people about the abuse these creatures face in captivity albeit in the name of tourism. The elephants live freely and join other elephants to form their own make shift herds. The Elephant Nature Park is an example of an organisation which treats their animals well and cares for them properly, however there are some places which are cruel to their animals, so you need to avoid them at all costs.

If you are booking a tailor-made holiday to Thailand, then make sure you let them know that you are interested in seeing animals, but specify that you only want to visit places where animals are being treated humanely.

You can also volunteer to work with turtles and work on turtle conservation programs. You will be able to collect data from turtle nests and monitor turtle activity at sea. It is a great way to spend your holiday while contributing to saving these magnificent sea creatures.
