6 Star Service in Singapore at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore

Expect to be stunned and amazed by the kindness and HUGE hearts of the staff at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, this is what makes them a 6 star hotel to us!

Arrival/First Impressions –

A member of the The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore staff met us at the luggage carousel and assisted us with our luggage, where we were picked up from the airport in a Mercedes E200, the Mercedes seemed brand new and was very comfortable, we were provided with cold towels and a bottle of water as well as in car Wi-Fi.

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the Ritz-Carlton media team and concierge who took care of our bags, we were shown around the lobby and taken straight up to our room where Andrew took over out check in.

He walked us through our room and explained all the features and how to use the air con and TV, he also gave us some great information about the hotel and the surrounding areas. We felt very welcome

Room –

We were booked into a Club Premier Suite with a Marina Bay view, Corner room. As we walked into the room we were surprised at how open and spacious it was for a hotel room, measuring at approx. 6 sq ft / 60 m2.

On the right was a large king size bed, with a small lounge area, with a small desk along the large windows and large windows to take in the best view of the Marina Bay Sands!

On the far left hand side of the room in the entrance to the bathroom which is a very large for a bathroom! The large marble bathroom features a separate large bathtub and shower with Rainforest Shower Head and double sinks. The bathroom also features the “trademark” Ritz-Carlton octagonal window with views of the Marina Bays Sands.

Ritz Carlton Club –

The club level is droooool worthy! It is definitely worth the money. The décor is classic Ritz Carlton, classy. Located on the 32nd floor, you get the best views of the Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore flyer and the Singapore cityscape.

One of the best features of the club level in the food! They offer 5 five daily “culinary presentations”, including Champagne breakfast, mid-day light refreshments, three-tiered classic afternoon tea, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, and desserts with cordials. You never need to leave the club level.

Another great feature of the club level is the Complimentary limousine service in the vicinity of the hotel, if you want to get dropped off at the merlion or the Marina Bay sands to do some shopping or Orchard street the hotel limo will drop you off.

The club also has your business needs at hand, the Library can accommodate up to 10 guests and offers high-speed Internet and a 75-inch LED TV.

The Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Guests below 12 years of age are welcome between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Pool –

The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore offers a 25-meter outdoor pool.

Dining Options –

The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore has 4 dining options:

Summer Pavilion is the signature Ritz-Carlton restaurant, featuring Cantonese classics.

Greenhouse offers all day dining showcasing international flavours.

Chihily Lounge specialises in Traditional Afternoon Tea and evening cocktails and snacks

Shirasishi is a Traditional Japanese restaurant, offering sushi, Sashimi and other seasonal dishes.

Spa –

I had a few treatments during our stay at the Ritz-Carlton, I had the Ultimate Sea Salt Glow Scrub & the Collagen Luxe Facial.

I found the initial sign up first impression a little “wonky”, you check in at the fitness centre desk where they hand you a clipboard and you fill out your health details. A few mins later your therapist comes to get you and you are taken to the change room, however the therapist was carrying all the items you need for your treatments. I got changed and moved to the treatment room. The room was fairly small and dark however this was perfect for my treatments.

My therapist was fantastic, especially through the facial as I had a very bad cough due to the smog in China (where we just came from), the therapist would stop to let me cough as well as providing me with warm water to drink to try to soothe my cough.

Location –

The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore is in a fantastic location, a very short walk to the Marina Bay sands complex, the famous (and expensive) Orchard Road,  and local shopping areas.

Staff worth a Special mention –

Joseph was the first person we met when we arrived at the The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, he was extremely friendly and helpful and offered his services or advice anytime we needed it.

Andrew has fantastic! He checked us in and spent some time with us going through information about the hotel as well as the surrounding areas, he was always around in the club room and made sure everything was okay for us. He worked in conjunction with the lovely Caryn (media team) to decorate our room one afternoon while we were out, when we cam back we found a beautiful rose petal bubble bath, a bottle of champagne to enjoy, 3 different types of salt and vinegar chips (my absolute favourite!!), 3 Ritz-Carlton teddies to bring home and an amazing “recovery kit” which included honey, cut up lemon, calmoine tea and face masks as the club room team had noticed I had a terrible cough due to the smog from China.  I felt sooo incredibly loved and cared for.

Chuck, Gwen, Lynde, Caty, Monica and Christella in the club room, everyone here looked after us and made sure we were adequately fed and “watered”, they often stopped to talk to us, making us feel welcome and at home, they knew us by name even after meeting us just once and always remembered our orders.

Ali our driver, transferred us to the Marina Bay Sands (to try out their pool), he took us right up to the front entrance, parked the car and took our lugged up to the check in line for us. Most hotel drivers would have just dropped us at the front, he went the extra mile!

Did we have any issues during our stay or do we have any suggestions? –

The only suggestion I would have would be for the Spa – I would suggest the therapist shows the client to the change room then gets the items for treatments to prepare in the treatment room.

Would we stay here again? –

Definitely, the hotel and the room are modern and new, the facilities are excellent. The Club room and the staff are beyond amazing!

General Summary –

The service from the Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore is 10 star! I’m sure you could sleep on a cardboard box and still be happy here.
